Methodist Homes for the Aged was founded by the Methodist Church in 1943 as an independent charity to improve the lives of older people, based on the Christian principles of love, compassion and respect. In 1945 our first Residential Care Home in Wallington, Surrey was opened.
MHA Care Group provides residential care, specialist dementia care, sheltered housing and Live at Home schemes for around 5,000 older men and women throughout Britain. Our services are available to all older people in need, regardless of belief.
We now provide support for over 8,500 older people around the country, in a variety of projects. This includes 60 care homes which provide a combination of residental, dementia and nursing care. We offer sheltered housing schemes including housing with care and supported retirement housing for sale. Live at Home Schemes are available throughout the country offering friendship, social activities and assistance to people living in their own homes. In addition we provide care services for those living with dementia in their own homes in a number of areas. |
