Local Space is a dynamic local housing association established in 2006, with support from the London Borough of Newham, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Local Space delivers homes in East London, predominantly in the London Borough of Newham. Local Space provides 132 homes for Key workers rented by us and 1,620 homes for homeless people nominated by London Borough of Newham, London Borough of Hackney, London Borough of Waltham Forest and City of London. We pride ourselves in providing affordable homes at market rent through the implementation of a highly effective and innovative programme of purchase and repair which has set new standards for efficient procurement.
Local Space supports the Government's sustainable communities agenda by a programme of dispersed acquisition which helps develop mixed-tenure communities, filling empty homes and contributing to neighbourhood regeneration.
As a registered not for profit charity, the association's activities are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and the Audit Commission. Savills, a leading property services group with many years' experience of working with housing associations, independently monitors all Local Space property buying activities to ensure probity and value for money is achieved. |
