Leeds Housing Concern began as a charity in the 1970s providing housing and support for single homeless people. Now a highly successful organisation, we continue to develop new, often pioneering services for people struggling to cope with a broad range of issues including learning difficulties, drug abuse and domestic violence.
LHC provides time limited supported housing, floating and community support services and a drop in service for people who are struggling to cope with a wide range of issues that include mental health, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol misuse, offending and domestic violence, with a view to them moving into independent accommodation and becoming socially included.
Mission Statement:
LHC is a dynamic organisation, which responds to the needs of vulnerable homeless and disadvantaged services users and seeks to promote their greater social inclusion. LHC offers a service that promotes dignity and independence for service users, which enables individuals to contribute to safer and stable communities. |
