 General Information / Background
St John & St Anne is a local Almshouse Charity founded in 1399, which now provides sheltered housing for older people.

We have two sites in Oakham and one in Uppingham and currently house over 95 people. The Governors consider all those applying for accommodation with 50% of the flats allocated by Rutland County Council.

Sheltered housing provides independent living with the added security of a daytime warden and emergency call system; this type of housing is best suited to those who can live independently with the support of a warden when needed and, when necessary, an externally provided care package.
