Hightown Praetorian and Churches is a developing housing association operating across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire providing a wide range of affordable housing and support services for people in housing need who cannot afford to rent or buy.
In addition to housing for rent and shared ownership for families and single people, Hightown provides housing and support for people with learning disabilities; people with mental health problems; young people; women and children escaping domestic violence; and people with drug and alocohol problems. These services are provided in both supported housing schemes and in registered care homes. In St Albans, Hightown runs the Open Door homelessness service and two other projects for homeless people.
Hightown is a leading developer of new affordable housing in the region building 250 - 300 homes each year for rent and shared ownership in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Hightown's central office is in Hemel Hempstead but the majority of its 500 staff are based in local offices, schemes and projects providing services direct to residents an service users.
