The Guinness Trust Group has been providing good quality, affordable homes for over 100 years. Our patron is HRH The Prince of Wales. Currently the Group provides accommodation for more than 60,000 people in over 25,000 homes across the country. It is one of the largest housing associations in England with fixed assets of over £850m and a turnover of £99m.
The West Region covers a part of the country that includes varied and contrasting environments. It covers from Buckinghamshire and Hampshire to Devon and Cornwall and from Dorset to Redditch. We manage homes in key cities such as Bath, Exeter, Plymouth and Bristol although a significant proportion of our homes and development activities are in the many smaller towns throughout the region and we have developed very strong partnerships with local authorities. For more details please click on to Local information.
The West Region manages over 5500 properties with a further 650 in development. The Region is also responsible for the 773 homes that belong to the member groups Guinness Housing Association and Wycombe Friendship Housing Association.
We work together with many agencies and groups, including community and resident associations. We have also developed links with other housing associations, supported housing providers and statutory authorities working in specialist areas, for example the provision of extra care at Douro Court (in Ivybridge, Devon), the development of the Bristol Very Sheltered Housing Partnership and the Umbrella project at Redruth. |
