Guildford YMCA aims to serve the local community, in particular young people, by providing a caring environment, building relationships and encouraging the development and personal growth of the individual. Projects include counselling, working with young people who have been excluded from school, social enterprise schemes, and providing housing.
The YMCA has been working with young people, particularly in times of need, for over 150 years. We are one of the largest youth and community welfare charities in the country, with 150 YMCA’s on over 300 sites nationwide. We are also one of the world’s largest Christian charities, working for the physical, emotional and spiritual welfare of women and men of all faiths and of none.
As a charity we are reliant on voluntary contributions to continue our work. Legacies are an important source of income and we feel that by including us in a will, donors will have the satisfaction that a great number of young people in need will benefit from their precious gift through our vital work. |
