Greenoak is one of 2,000 housing associations that work in the UK. Our main purpose is to provide homes for people to rent. Many of our residents come to us from local authority registers of those who need housing.
Greenoak is a not for profit Friendly Society with charitable rules. We are governed by a Board whose members serve entirely on a voluntary basis. We receive government funding and are regulated by the Housing Corporation. We are also affiliated to the National Housing Federation and have signed up to iN Business.
Greenoak provides affordable housing for single people, couples and families of all ages. We also give support to vulnerable people to help them live independent lives in their own homes. We build houses to rent. Our new properties are funded through government grants, long term loans and our own reserves. We have also built leasehold retirement schemes in East Sussex and we manage retirement housing for a charitable trust. |
