Glendale Gateway Trust (GGT) was established in 1996 to promote, maintain, improve, encourage and advance the benefit if the inhabitants of Glendale. The Trust now has a proven track record in developing and delivering projects and activities that contribute to the regeneration of Wooler and Glendale, making it the appropriate vehicle to deliver key projects in the area.
The Trust is keen to grow its role as an affordable housing provider/facilitator. While implementing these plans the Trust aims to increase its own sustainability and eliminate any reliance on grant funding. A staggering £3m worth of investment, 19 new affordable homes and seven new jobs have been brought to Wooler in the last five years by Glendale Gateway Trust.
The Trust has plans to further develop Glendale and Wooler as a tourist destination, to create spaces in Wooler that can be used for markets, festivals and events and to retain and develop businesses and services for Glendale. |
