Gentoo Sunderland is the primary asset-owning subsidiary company of Gentoo Group (“the Group”) and is responsible for conducting the Group’s core business as a Registered Housing Provider.
The Company currently owns and manages just over 29,000 homes across the five management areas in Sunderland. With further expansion into the region, Gentoo Sunderland also manages stock units at South Tyneside, Alnwick and Middlesbrough in addition to having responsibility for the management for the Group’s market rented portfolio
throughout the region.
Gentoo Sunderland has developed its services around the Homes & Communities Agency (‘HCA’), formerly Tennant Services Authority’s (TSA), six National Standards which are:

• Tenancy
• Neighbourhood and Community
• Value for Money
• Governance and Financial Viability
