Gedling Homes was created on the transfer of all of Gedling Borough Council’s housing stock on November 3rd 2008 following a ballot of all our tenants. Our stock of 3362 homes is mainly in the urban areas of Arnold, Carlton, Gedling and Netherfield, and with some properties in the rural communities across Gedling Borough. Many of our staff are former employees of Gedling Borough Council, and bring with them years of local housing experience.
We are proud to be part of the New Charter Housing Trust Group. This means we can draw on help and support from the Group and benefit from the Group’s financial stability and central support services.
One of the core building blocks in creating and developing the new organisation is our wish to provide our customers with a quality service. We will be testing this on an annual basis through Satisfaction Surveys. The first one of these, in January 2009, showed that there was an overall satisfaction level in excess of 84%. This is pleasing but we will be looking to improve as the organisation develops and continues to deliver the promises made to tenants on transfer. |
