Over 40 years’ experience of housing and care means that Friendship Care and Housing (fch) knows there is more to the tenant or service user’s needs than meets the eye. While a well maintained house or a responsive care service will meet customers’ immediate needs, there are often more significant obstacles to surmount. The customer may also need access to good equality training to overcome long-term unemployment and social networks to overcome isolation and exclusion.
That’s why fch acts as a broader regeneration and community support agency, often in the poorest neighbourhoods and with disadvantaged people who face multiple problems.
The customer is the focus of all the work: even when people are in no position to exercise real choice over where they live or the services they receive, the organisation will treat them as though they do. Friendship Care and Housing will discover what new and existing customers need and want, to make their neighbourhoods better places to live. |
