The Association was founded in 1983 and its first project came into management in 1984/5 for young single people. In 1989 an ambitious development was brought into management providing six properties for people with learning disabilities.
At East Yorkshire Housing Association the philosophy is to support vulnerable people as individuals with sensitivity. Developing our Tenants to manage responsibility is a major part of supporting them towards independence in all aspects of their lives.
We support a variety of people with specialist needs to learn skills and take planned appropriate risks as a necessary means of growth - balancing this with our duty to protect them as vulnerable adults in the community. |
