 General Information / Background
Dimensions (UK) Ltd is part of the New Dimensions Group, which is the UK's second largest voluntary provider of support for people with learning difficulties.

As a group, we provide support for almost 1,200 young people and adults who have a broad range of learning difficulties. We employ over 1600 staff and currently offer services throughout the South of England, the Midlands, Norfolk, Yorkshire & Lincolnshire and the North East.

Dimensions was previously known as New Era Housing Association, which was established in 1975 as a specialist provider of housing for people with learning difficulties. In 2001, we formed the New Dimensions Group with our sister company, New Support Options.

We changed our name in February 2006, in anticipation of the New Dimensions Group merger that will take place in April 2007, where the Group companies will merge to become one company called 'Dimensions'.

We are a not-for-profit, Industrial & Provident society with charitable status, registered with the Financial Services Authority.
