This is the largest Association in the Group formed in 1974. Registered with the Housing Corporation, it has charitable status.
Providing affordable rented housing is a priority for us and we work in areas with:
- clear unmet demands for such accommodation
- limited employment opportunities
- low-income levels
- high property prices
We provide a full range of accommodation from one-person flats to four bedroom family homes. These homes meet the needs of a diverse market from young single people, to families, to people over retirement age. We also provide shared and self-contained supported housing for people with various needs to enable them to live independently within the community.
This Association also provides low cost home ownership initiatives, building houses usually for first time buyers who can part rent and part buy.
It has around 1000 shared ownership homes in its management portfolio.
We run the Homebuy programme in Cornwall and Devon where loans of 25% of the purchase price of a property are available to eligible applicants who are housing association or council tenants and people from their waiting list.
We also have funding for the Starter Homes initiative in the Southwest with money to provide homes for key workers in Exeter and Torbay. |
