Cossington Housing Co-operative (CHC) provides good quality affordable homes for rent by local people. Through our work, we aim to develop thriving and sustainable neighbourhoods.
Based in the Belgrave area of Leicester, we work in an ethnically diverse community, and rent homes to people from a wide variety of cultures. We’ve a strong commitment to diversity and promoting equality of opportunity.
As a community-based housing co-op, we’re run entirely by and for our tenant members. Tenant members own and manage their housing collectively – so they are effectively their own landlord.
This gives them a high level of control over their homes and their neighbourhood. Perhaps because of this, most tenants tend to stay with CHC, so our homes are in high demand.
CHC is one of around 600 housing co-operatives in England.
