Cornerstone has a long established history in the City as Exeter’s first housing association and we remain the largest in Exeter. Our main office is in Southernhay in the city centre and so they are ideally located to provide a high level of service across Exeter and to surrounding settlements.
Their current housing stock is just over 1,000 units. The stock is maintained and modernised in-house by a Direct Labour Force of 40 staff. Being a local housing association means that are well known to their tenants and able to provide an excellent service to them. They have a Tenants’ Association who represent the views of the tenants and form part of their consultation on projects and key decisions.
Cornerstone has always enjoyed a good working relationship with Exeter City Council’s Planning, Building Control and Housing Departments. They also work in partnership with a number of other housing associations and housing organisations. |
