City South Manchester is a not-for-profit organisation - not a private landlord. That means the rent you pay will be used to run and maintain local homes and estates - and won't go into the pocket of an individual or shareholders.
City South Manchester will start owning and running your area's council homes in spring 2008. This would be followed almost immediately by the start of the multi-million pound improvement programme.
It will be run by a volunteer board - one third of the board members will be tenants, one third nominated by the City Council, and one third will be 'independents' - experts in relevant fields like the law or housing regeneration. |
