CHADD was formed in 1979 through concern over the Boroughs housing problems and to bridge gaps left by social and private housing providers. Led by the Anglican Bishop of Dudley, these Christian representatives founded the Association with little funds, but tremendous support, guidance and dedication.
During the past 20 years, the aims of the Association have remained steadfast and new schemes developed to meet the needs which have arisen.
Consequently, we have developed homes for young men who were offenders or at risk in the community, people with mental health/learning disabilities, safe refuges for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence, and self contained/supported flats for the elderly and young single homeless. |
