Cheviot is a Registered Social Landlord formed in 1969. We aim to provide good quality affordable homes and excellent management and maintenance services. We operate throughout the North East and offer a wide range of property types, for single people, families, the elderly and people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and other special requirements. We provide homes to rent, shared ownership homes, supported housing and offer a management service to the owners of leasehold property. We are governed by a voluntary Board of Management whose members are drawn from all aspects of the community. They bring their many talents and experience to bear in dealing with the complex and demanding decisions which face registered social landlords.
Each year the Board holds a full discussion about the effectiveness with which it conducts its business and undertakes a review of the skills of its members. Our policy is to advertise any vacancies in appropriate periodicals, with applicants being interviewed by a selection panel drawn from the Board. |
