Cestria Community Housing Association Ltd (Cestria Community Housing) is a not-for-profit independent Registered Social Landlord which Chester-le-Street District Council helped to set up. It took over all the ownership and management of all the Council homes in early 2008 after tenants voted resoundingly for change.
They are registered with the Housing Corporation, the legal body responsible for the supervision and regulation of registered social landlords. And they are the main providers of affordable rented housing within the Chester-le-Street district. They work closely with the Council and other partners to meet housing and regeneration needs across the district.
The Association owns around 4,300 homes. Many of these are specially build for our elderly tenants. |
