Carlisle Housing Association has been established as the vehicle for the transfer of all of Carlisle City Council's housing stock. Some 7,200 homes transferred to Carlisle Housing Association joining the Riverside Group after local tenants voted "yes" in the summer of 2002.
Based in the city of Carlisle in Cumbria, Carlisle Housing Association operates throughout the Carlisle District. The Association's homes are found in various neighbourhoods and smaller clusters both within the city and the surrounding rural areas.
Carlisle Housing Association owns more than 6,000 homes including houses for families and single people, flats and bungalows designed for housing older people and retirement accommodation. The homes were formerly owned by Carlisle City Council. The properties transferred to Carlisle Housing Association in December 2002. |
