Calico is made up of two companies with a shared vision: to provide quality services that make a difference to people’s lives
Calico Homes owns and manages homes in Pennine Lancashire and aims to make a difference to the quality of life of individuals and the wider communities in which it works.
It's governed by a voluntary board of directors, made up of customers, people nominated by the council, and independent experts in housing, business or regeneration.
The board meets every six weeks to make key decisions, help shape the overall direction of the company and monitor its performance. Calico Homes is regulated by a government agency called the TSA.
Calico Homes services and the improvement to its homes are paid for by a combination of loans from banks and building societies, and the rents collected from customers. Community regeneration work is often paid for by grants that Calico submits bids for. |
