CWL Housing, formally known as the Brentwood Branch (CWL) Housing Association Limited, changed its name in August 2011.
The Brentwood Branch (CWL) Housing Association Limited was founded by the Brentwood Branch of the Catholic Women’s League, a charitable organisation, in 1966.
By its rules, the Association is an independent body, non-denominational, non racial and non-profit making. It is run by a small salaried staff and voluntary members of the Board. The Board of Management are responsible for the organisation and operation of the Association. The Association in an Exempt Charity and registered with the National Housing Corporation (No: L1530). It is also a member of the National Housing Federation.
The Association operates in the Essex area; St. Margaret’s comprising 14 one-bedroom flats, and St. Anne’s comprising of 30 flats
