BCHS has over 25 years experience of working with community based housing and regeneration solutions across the country. BCHS started life supporting groups to develop housing Co-operatives.
Fully committed to resident involvement and building on the experience gained, bchs expanded it’s services in the late 1970's working with local council residents to develop Tenant Management Organisations. Whilst continuing to support Co-operative and Tenant Management Organisations, bchs also worked with organisations and residents interested in community led housing and regeneration solutions in the Midlands and beyond.
In 1992 BCHS joined the Accord Housing Association group continuing to deliver and expand its services. BCHS has worked in many different areas and with diverse communities; from multi-cultural inner city areas to isolated 'edge of town' council estates; from declining suburbs to expanding new communities. Working in partnership with a wide range of Registered Social Landlords, Local Councils, residents, staff and board members, BCHS continues to offer organisations and their communities, independent advice.
BCHS is a registered Social landlord currently owning 98 properties. We provide direct management services to 13 housing Co-operative and one Community housing association. BCHS is an approved section 16 agency and an accredited open college network provider.
BCHS is managed by a commitee that includes a wide range of representatives from groups and organisations with which we work. |
