Each year we are contacted by over a thousand women fearing or experiencing violence at home or in a relationship.
We work throughout Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham and Newbury in Berkshire, England and are affiliated to WAFE (Women's Aid Federation of England - national helpline no. 08457 023468).
We support women who are not staying in one of our refuges through an Outreach service. Women who may not want or need to come into a refuge can meet a worker informally to discuss their situation and their options, arrange counselling, or get advice on other available services.
The Outreach workers will treat any information given as confidential and can give on-going support to women who are experiencing violence at home but do not want to come to a refuge. |
