Bank of Wear Housing Association is a Charitable RSL. Tracing its origins to the 1970s co-operative movement, BOWCHA has remained firmly rooted in and committed to communities. This expertise adds a vital ingredient to the Group’s regeneration work. BOWCHA aims to expand its community landlord role around its existing Sunderland base and also capitalise on its position as the BME specialist in the North East.
Part of the Tees Valley Housing Group, Banks of the Wear owns and manages over 200 homes. The Association works as part of the Tees Valley Housing Group and benefit from this support, yet retain independence ensuring the needs and wishes of the client group are supported. Ensuring the effective use of this independence to challenge established views, policies and practices where the results are for the benefit of the client group.
Our main aim is :
* To maintain and improve the quality of our existing homes and services, promoting sustainable and secure neighbourhoods.
* Invest in projects and initiatives to promote social regeneration and inclusion.
* To grow the organisation inline with the business plan.
* To maintain the unique selling points that identify Banks of the Wear. Within the Group, through BOWCHA, to develop the northern end of our operation. |
