bpha was established in 1990 when the tenants of North Bedfordshire Borough Council voted to transfer their homes to a new, not-for-profit housing association.
Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association - now known simply as bpha - initially provided rented housing for the tenants who had transferred and others on waiting lists.
Today, bpha is a mature association that continues to grow and diversify its services for a wide range of customers, including key public sector workers and others looking for low cost home ownership. As a leading provider and developer of affordable housing, bpha now works across central, southern and eastern England, including Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
bpha currently manages more than 16,000 homes and employs over 300 staff. Since 1992, it has helped more than 5,000 families into home ownership and currently manages more than 1,000 shared ownership properties. |
