| Argyle Street Housing Co-operative (known as ASH Co-op) opened in 1981 and consists of a mixture of 4, 6 and 10-person shared houses for single people and one-bedroom flats providing accommodation for single parents and couples with children, all arranged around communal gardens. ASH Co-op has 86 residents, each of whom is a member of the co-op, with an equal say in the running of the organisation. All applicants for housing must be over 18, in housing need and willing to help out with running the co-op. |
