Affiliated to the National Housing Federation, Alternative Housing, a specialist Housing Association and a registered charity, provides housing exclusively for people with special needs. Established in March 2001 and a member of the Alternative Group of companies, we work in partnership with other Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Primary Care Trusts and other care and support providers.
We pride ourselves on maintaining an excellent standard of support to our service users and tenants, providing high quality housing and accomodation for people with learning and physical disabilities and mental health needs in community settings. The strategic vision for Alternative Housing focuses on a set of business principles designed to assist with the achievement of the Government's social inclusion agenda. These principles are:
