Almshouse of St John the Baptist & St J Evangelist provides accommodation for 18 elderly residents plus one room available for respite care.
A somewhat unusual almshouse in that it provides bedsitting accommodation within one building, and all meals are taken in common; so care is taken in introducing new residents to continue providing a harmonious atmosphere.
