The Abbeyfield movement - a voluntary, non-profit making society, was founded over 50 years ago, and aims to enhance the lives of older people.
The Abbeyfield Burnley Society aims to enhance the lives of older people. Its residents enjoy life all the more because they know that the people who support them are doing this demanding work because they believe that older people belong at the heart of their communities.
The Burnley Society is run by a group of local professional volunteers and has a house in Harriet Street and one in St.Stephen's Street. |
