ASRA Midlands Housing Association was founded in 1979. The term ASRA stands for "Asian Sheltered Residential Accommodation". The word "ASRA" also means care and support in the North Indian languages.
The Association is non-sectarian, with a clear mission to provide affordable, quality housing and social support to those with Asian lifestyles and all people in housing need.
The broad range of accommodation provided includes Category I & II sheltered housing, care homes, general needs, and supported housing schemes which includes housing for women suffering domestic difficulties, and accommodation for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities.
The scope of ASRA Midlands encompasses the concepts of "added value" and diversification. The Association provides a multi-lingual emergency Control Centre for older residents. It is also a repairs reporting centre open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. |
